Gujarat announced its Semiconductor Policy in 2022, 
And something fascinating is being built now!

Tata Electronics announced in June 2025 that it is setting up India’s first semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat and is investing 91,000 crores in the project.

Gujarat State Government is now chipping in too!
It has promised to build 1500 residential complexes in the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), for the employees of Tata Electronics and their vendors.

It has already made 500 units available to the company and it’s vendors, and construction on an additional 1000 units is under way.

In this case the demand for semiconductors and capital from Tata Group was already present, but the Government Support has ticked all boxes now!

⛔ TCS and Infosys: ~50% each
If outsourcing stops, these companies won’t have time to find new clients. Their revenues can collapse.

Also, The sector employs 56 lakhs people directly, with lakhs more in supporting industries. This may lead to Immediate job losses and/or salary cuts.

So yes, it may lead to a disruption, but what is there for Indian retail investors?
