SMU China has officially launched in Shenzhen — our first overseas centre in China, extending our network beyond Southeast Asia.

The launch welcomed Guest of Honour Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for Energy, Trade and Industry, Singapore, alongside our partners and the SMU community.

Congratulations to SMU alumna Yip Pin Xiu (BSocSc 2017) on receiving an honorary degree from the University of Glasgow, recognising her achievements in sport and advocacy for greater inclusion, accessibility and equity.

The recognition follows the Honorary Doctor of Laws conferred on her by SMU at Commencement 2026 this year.
